girl with magnifying glassYouth education is a major focus of our work here at the District.  Amy Sieferman, our Outreach Coordinator, spends the majority of her time teaching Hendricks County students about waste diversion through hands-on, in-school programs that engage the students and satisfy grade-specific academic standards required by the State of Indiana.  The most popular programs every year include, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, “Worms are Eating My Garbage” , “Who Polluted White Lick Creek” and “How Do They Do That?”.

For the 2014/15 school year, 11,317 Hendricks County students received programs from the District.  This infographic displays the breakdown across the local school districts.
