Why Does It Matter?

Respook, Rewear and Rescare!!  Halloween costumes, masks, face paint, and all of the accessories can become really scary trash.  To help you battle the trash monster, we offer an opportunity for reusing all of those wonderful costumes that can still be shared.

What Should You Do?

Let us help you save money and time shopping for your boo-tiful costumes at our Halloween Costume Swap, October 12th (this Saturday!) at the Brownsburg Public Library.  It’s easy and it’s free!  All you need to do is bring us a clean, gently-used costume in any size and exchange it for a new-to-you costume.  Masks and accessories are also available and exchangeable.  We have all the sizes covered, from infant and toddler to teenage and adult.   This year our Costume Swap will be held at the Brownsburg Public Library as part of the library’s Fall Family Fun Festival.

Along with our swap from noon to 3pm, Frazee Gardens will be on-hand selling pumpkins for you to paint.  You can also play some games, get your face painted, take funny pictures, listen to stories and end the day with some snacks and a viewing of the short film, “Scared Shrekless” which begins at 2:30pm.  Please bring a non-perishable food items to share with a local food pantry.

Next Edition…

Next time, we’ll give you more “Tricks and Treats” for having a Green Halloween like punk’n junkin’, green treats, composting your pumpkin, great resources for making your own reused costumes and other handy tips.
